Dunsmuir, California (January 9, 2020) – One person was trapped after a head-on collision that happened in the area of Dunsmuir on Thursday morning at approximately 8:57 a.m.
The two-vehicle collision took place on State Route 89 at Ski Park Highway, Siskiyou County.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, the collision involved a black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and another pickup truck.
The manner in which the accident occurred was not immediately established.
Due to the impact, one of the vehicles overturned while the second pickup truck veered off the roadway.
Officials said the operator of the Toyota had to be extricated from the wreckage after the wreck.
The crash resulted in unspecified injuries to at least one person.
The collision remains under an active investigation.
