Rider Hospitalized after Victorville Bicycle Accident at Hesperia and Green Tree Boulevard

Victorville, California (March 28, 2020) – One person was injured in a bicycle accident on Friday night in Victorville, according to a local news release.

The crash happened at about 7:24 p.m., on March 27, in the area of Hesperia Road and Green Tree Boulevard, near Coad Road and Eureka Street.

A 2008 dark gray Pontiac G8 reportedly struck a male bicyclist at the intersection for reasons that were yet to be established.

First responders arrived at the scene and found a man lying in the southbound lane of Hesperia Road. He was transported to Desert Valley Hospital and was later flown to a trauma center in critical condition.

Following the accident, the Pontiac driver stopped and was cooperative, according to the police. It was not clear if the driver was injured as a result of the crash.

The Pontiac sustained significant damage at the front passenger-side windshield and headlight.

Hesperia Road was closed for an unspecified period due to the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
