Driver Killed in Apple Valley Semi-Truck Accident at Johnson Road and Dale Evans Parkway

Apple Valley, California (March 2, 2020) – A driver was killed Sunday night in a traffic accident involving a tractor-trailer in Apple Valley, authorities said.

The deadly crash was reported at around 8:11 p.m. Sunday, March 1 at the intersection of Johnson Road and Dale Evans Parkway, near the Walmart Distribution Center.

Authorities said a tractor-trailer collided with a silver 2005 Ford Focus at the Apple Valley intersection. The Ford became wedged underneath the trailer.

The driver of the Ford, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was declared dead at the scene shortly after 8:20 p.m. According to a witness, the deceased driver was an older woman with gray hair.

The name of the victim has been disclosed pending notification of family.
