Homeless Person Killed in Los Alamitos Car Crash near Katella Avenue and Bloomfield Street
Los Alamitos, California (March 13, 2020) – One person believed to be homeless was killed in a car crash on Thursday morning in Los Alamitos.
The accident happened near the intersection of Katella Avenue and Bloomfield Street.
The police were chasing a car that was believed to be involved in a hit-and-run accident. The vehicle struck the homeless person who was sleeping outside a pharmacy and then crashed into C&H Pharmacy on Katella Avenue.
The victim was declared dead at the scene
The driver and a passenger in the involved vehicle were arrested.
The roadway was closed for an unknown duration.
An investigation is ongoing.
