One Person Killed in Solana Beach Car Accident on Interstate 5 near Manchester Avenue

Solana Beach, California (March 14, 2020) – One person was killed early Saturday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Solana Beach, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident was reported at about 2:35 a.m. on the northbound Interstate 5 near Manchester Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Cadillac Escalade, a Toyota Corolla and a third dark-colored car were involved in the crash. The third vehicle was totally destroyed during the collision.

One person died in the crash. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

All northbound lanes of the freeway just south of Manchester Avenue were shut down following the crash.

Further details about the accident were not immediately provided.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
