One Killed in Norwalk Car Accident on 605 Freeway near Rosecrans Avenue
Norwalk, California (February 5, 2020) – A person was killed early Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on 605 Freeway in Norwalk, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly accident took place at around 3:45 a.m. in the southbound lane of 605 Freeway, just south of Rosecrans Avenue.
The CHP said three vehicles collided in the southbound lane of the freeway. One of the vehicles drifted across the traffic lanes and slammed into the center median before it flipped over in the No. 1 lane of the highway.
One person died in the crash. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
A SigAlert was issued at about 4:05 a.m., blocking all lanes of the southbound 605 Freeway near Rosecrans Avenue. As of around 6:00 a.m., two lanes were reopened.
The accident remains under investigation.
