One Person Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Lancaster Pedestrian Crash Friday Morning

Lancaster, California – One person was killed and another injured when a pedestrian accident occurred on Avenue L near 47th Street West on Friday morning.

The California Highway Patrol stated that the driver of the 2012 Toyota Prius who was traveling westbound on Avenue L did not see the people who were crossing and hit them.

Following the accident, one of the pedestrians was killed whereas the other person sustained major injuries and was rushed to the Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota was identified as a Lake Hughes resident who stayed at the scene and tried to help the victims.

The Toyota driver was not driving under the influence.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
