Fatal Fairfield Car Accident on 80 Freeway near Travis Boulevard
Fairfield, California (March 8, 2020) – One person was killed in a traffic collision on Saturday, March 7, at around 8:50 p.m. in Fairfield, as per a police report.
Authorities responded to the crash scene on the intersection of 80 Freeway near Travis Boulevard involving two vehicles.
Police said a white Honda Civic and a black SUV were involved in the wreck on the freeway for unknown reasons.
The impact of the collision caused the SUV to slam into the center barrier and came to rest in the oncoming traffic.
The Honda rolled over and caught fire.
One person was killed in the crash.
The identity of the deceased was disclosed pending notification of the next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation.
