Anderson Woman Dies Following Fatal Stockton Crash on 5 Freeway near Knighton Road
Stockton, California (January 26, 2020) – According to a local news source, one person died following a traffic crash that happened early Sunday morning in Stockton.
The fatal accident took place shortly after midnight on 5 Freeway near Knighton Road.
Authorities said a 25-year-old Cottonwood man was driving a 2007 Dodge pickup truck on 5 Freeway when for an unknown reason, he crashed into a 2007 Nissan that was stopped in the number three lane of the freeway.
The driver of the Nissan, a woman from Anderson, was killed in the wreck. Her name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
