1 Dies after McFarland Car Accident on Highway 43 near Sherwood Avenue
McFarland, California (June 26, 2020) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Friday morning in McFarland, authorities said.
The crash occurred at around 3:33 a.m. on Highway 43 near Sherwood Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided on the roadway. Following the collision, both vehicles ended up in a nearby canal and were submerged in water.
One person was trapped in one of the vehicles.
The trapped victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
