1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Lakeside Car Crash on State Route 67

Alpine Woman Dies, 1 Suffers Major Injuries Following Multi-Vehicle Accident on State Route 67 near San Vicente Reservoir in Lakeside

Lakeside, California (March 23, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that killed a 37-year-old Alpine woman early Monday morning and left one person with serious injuries near Foster Truck Trail in Lakeside.

At around 6:52 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the deadly crash on state Route 67, just north of San Vicente Reservoir.

Authorities said a Toyota Yaris was heading northbound on state Route 67 when the driver lost control and veered into the opposite lane where it collided with a Chevrolet Silverado 3500 towing a trailer.

Due to the force of the impact, the Chevrolet 3500 careened onto the northbound side of the road and collided head-on with a Chevrolet HHR station wagon. The Chevrolet 3500 was then struck by a Toyota Prius and a Chevrolet 1500 pickup hit the HHR.

The Toyota driver, only identified as a 37-year-old Alpine woman, died at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.

The operator of the HHR was taken to UCSD Medical Center in San Diego for treatment of major injuries.

One passenger in one of the vehicles involved and the other two drivers sustained minor injuries and did not need hospitalization. All parties involved were wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that car accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian encourages victims and their family members to seek legal help as soon as possible in order to preserve their rights to the full extent of the law.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
