Woman Killed, Man Seriously Injured in Echo Park Pedestrian Crash at Sunset Boulevard and White Knoll Drive
Echo Park, California (February 24, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Monday morning crash that left a woman dead and seriously injured her husband in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles.
The crash happened in the area of Sunset Boulevard and White Knoll Drive at about 1:00 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a dark-colored sedan struck a man and a woman. The two were leaving from a nearby Club Bahia.
Emergency crews responding to the crash and transported the two patients to a hospital with serious injuries.
Later at the hospital, the woman succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment. The man remains in critical condition at the same hospital.
The involved driver remained on the scene for a short while before driving away. The driver is yet to be located.
An investigation is underway. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact LAPD’s Central Traffic division at 213-833-3746.
