Bakersfield Car Accident at Niles Street and Park Drive

Bakersfield, California (December 8, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a traffic collision that resulted in minor injuries to one person on Friday night in Bakersfield, 

The two-vehicle collision happened at the intersection of Niles Street and Park Drive near Highway 184 and the Hort Elementary School at approximately 7:07 p.m. December 6.

The accident involved a black pickup truck and a black colored sedan that collided at the intersection for undisclosed reasons. One of the cars ended up 200 feet in the grass field upon the impact.

Fire department officials, along with the paramedics, responded to the scene shortly after the crash and offered first aid treatment to one person who sustained minor injuries.

The CHP did not mention whether or not the unidentified patient was hospitalized for further treatment.

The crash remains under an active investigation.
