1 Injured in Antioch Car Accident on Antioch Bridge

Antioch, California (December 12, 2019) – A person was injured in a head-on collision in Antioch Thursday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash, which was reported at about 1:00 p.m., happened on the Antioch Bridge and involved a semi-tractor trailer truck and two cars.

According to the CHP, a flatbed semi-truck collided with a Nissan Sentra and another vehicle. One of the involved vehicles likely flipped over while the semi-truck caught  as a result of the collision.

The semi-truck was transporting John Deere tractors at the time of the crash.

At least one person was injured in the crash and was treated at the scene by responding paramedics. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately disclosed.

No other details about the crash were given.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
