1 Dead Following Multi-Car Accident on Highway 17 in Los Gatos
1 Person Killed in Highway 17 Crash near South Santa Cruz Avenue in Los Gatos
Santa Clara County, California (March 24, 2020) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a traffic crash that killed one person early Tuesday morning on southbound Highway 17 in Los Gatos, Santa Clara County.
At around 2:55 a.m., the California Highway Patrol officers received a report about a traffic accident involving several vehicles just south of the South Santa Cruz Avenue on-ramp to southbound Highway 17.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Authorities closed all southbound lanes of Highway 17 to investigate the crash. One lane was reopened at around 5:00 a.m.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
