Driver Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Auburn Crash on Highway 49 near LoneStar Road

Auburn, California (March 15, 2020) – A three-vehicle crash on Highway 49 in Auburn killed one driver and left another driver with serious injuries Saturday, according to authorities.

The California Highway Patrol said three vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of Highway 49, just south of LoneStar Road.

One of the drivers, whose name was not immediately disclosed, died in the accident. Another driver sustained major injuries.

Authorities closed multiple lanes on Highway 49 to investigate the cause of the crash.
