1 Dead, 1 Hurt after Small Plane Crashes near Auburn Airport in Placer County

Pilot Killed and Passenger Injured in Placer County Plane Accident near Auburn Municipal Airport

Placer County, California (April 19, 2020) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a small plane crash that killed a pilot Saturday morning in Placer County and left a passenger with injuries.

According to the authorities, the single-engine aircraft crashed in a field near the 3800 block of Cedar Mist Lane, northwest of the Auburn Municipal Airport, a while after taking off from the airport just after 11:00 a.m. The plane then caught fire.

Two people were on board the plane. The pilot, whose name has not been disclosed pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash.

An investigation by the FAA and NTSB is ongoing.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that plane accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
