1 Hospitalized After Vallejo 6-Car Crash on Highway 37 near Skaggs Island Road
Vallejo, California (June 19, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances that led to a six-vehicle collision in Vallejo shortly before 3:00 p.m. June 15.
One person sustained major injuries after the six automobiles collided in the eastbound lanes of the highway, just east of Skaggs Island Road Monday afternoon.
One of the vehicles rolled over into a canal and landed on its roof due to the impact.
One person was reportedly trapped inside one of the cars. The victim was extricated from the wreckage by medical personnel along with firefighters and then flown to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for medication.
All the other victims involved in the mishap were confirmed to have suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the identity and the current condition of the patients have not yet been released thus far.
The wreck resulted in the closure of Highway 37 in both directions as investigation and clean-up took place.
