Rosa Olivera Injured in Fatal Delhi Car Accident on Bloss Avenue and Palm Street

Delhi, California – A deadly two-vehicle accident that happened on Bloss Avenue and Palm Street in Delhi on Thursday morning, Rosa Olivera, 66, of Hilmar was injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Randy Avila, 40, of Delhi was driving a 2016 Nissan Sentra southbound on Palm Street. She failed to stop for a red light at Bloss Avenue and collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Olivera.

One passenger from the Nissan was extricated and rushed to Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, where she was declared dead.

Meanwhile, Olivera was airlifted to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto sustaining moderate injuries.

Following the collision, Randy allegedly fled the scene.

The CHP is looking for Randy as a suspect for the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
