Motorcyclist Injured in Bakersfield Crash near Interstate 5 and Highway 99 Split

Bakersfield, California – A Bakersfield accident involving a vehicle that occurred just north of the Interstate 5 and Highway 99 split on Thursday afternoon caused injury to the motorcyclist.

The CHP stated that the motorcyclist collided with a black Dodge Charger in the northbound lanes of Highway 99 at around 3:20 pm.

Following the accident, the motorcycle rider was flown to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

All lanes of Highway 99 were blocked as the investigators worked at the scene to examine the wreck.

No further details were released.

The accident remains under investigation.
