Rene Deleon Killed in Petaluma Car Crash on Wednesday Evening

Petaluma, California – The person who was killed following a Petaluma car accident that occurred on Wednesday evening, has been identified as Rene Alvarez Deleon, 38, of San Rafael by the Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.

On September 22, at around 6:30 pm, the accident took place when a black Nissan pickup truck traveling northbound on Lakeville Highway collided with a white Toyota sedan that was going west on South McDowell Boulevard.

Rene was driving the Toyota who was declared dead at the scene.

The other driver was taken to the hospital sustaining minor injuries.

To determine the cause of the accident, police are investigating the matter.
