Ramiro Torres Arrested after Fatal Los Angeles Hit-And-Run Crash in the Westlake District

Los Angeles, California – Following the deadly Los Angeles hit and run accident that occurred on early Thursday morning in the Westlake District, the authorities stated that Ramiro Vincente Torres, 72 a resident of Los Angeles was arrested.

It was a deadly pedestrian accident that happened near Wilshire Boulevard and Alvarado Street.

At around 4:30 am, a woman was trying to cross the intersection when she was hit by a pickup truck.

The woman was rushed to the hospital and was declared dead later.

The police did an investigation and arrested Torres at around 9 pm Thursday on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and booked on a 50,000 USD bail.

The incident is under investigation by the Police Department.
