Pedestrian Killed in Ventura Train Accident Monday Afternoon

Ventura, California – A Ventura train accident that occurred near Emma Wood State Beach on Monday afternoon, killed one person according to the authorities.

On August 24, just before 1:15 pm, the accident happened north of the Ventura city limits.

According to the authorities, the victim was identified as an adult woman who was taking photos for the beach and had earphones on when she was hit by the Union Pacific train.

The woman died because of the accident however no one on the train was injured.

The accident is under investigation.
