Person Dies Following Fatal Merced Pedestrian Accident on Ashby Road and Fern Street
Merced, California (January 16, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Thursday morning in the area of Ashby Road and Fern Street in Merced, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The fatal pedestrian accident took place at about 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ashby Road and Fern Street.
The pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at the Merced intersection for unknown reasons.
The pedestrian died in the accident. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The accident remains under investigation.
