Pilot Injured in Imperial County Jet Crash on Tuesday Afternoon

Imperial County, California – Following the Imperial County jet crash that happened on Tuesday afternoon, one person sustained injuries according to the authorities.

The crash occurred around 4:00 pm when a Marine Corps F-35 fighter jet clipped with the wing of a Marine KC-130 refueling tanker during a mid-air refueling.

The fighter jet pilot ejected safely and was rushed to the hospital for treatment of injuries. However, there was not update about the extent of injuries sustained by the pilot.

Meanwhile, the KC-130 safely landed at the field near Thermal Airport and none of its occupants were hurt.

The crash is under investigation.
