Deadly Motorcycle Crash on Highway 101 in Novato
Novato, California – A fatal motorcycle accident that happened on Highway 101 on Thursday afternoon has been reported by the California Highway Patrol.
On September 17, at around 4:29 pm, the accident happened near the Atherton Avenue exit in Novato.
The police report states that the cause of the accident was not known and no vehicle has been involved in the accident.
The paramedic’s team responded to the accident and performed life-saving measures to save the victim, however the victim was declared dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased was not released.
Due to the accident, two northbound lanes of Highway 101 were closed that affected Rowland Boulevard exit and Highway 37.
The traffic heading to Sonoma County using Highway 37 was diverted to Lakeville Highway as an alternate route.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
