Man Killed in Torrance Motorcycle Crash on Hawthorne Boulevard

Torrance, California – A 44-year-old man died following the Torrance motorcycle accident that occurred on Monday afternoon on Hawthorne Boulevard.

The man was riding northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard when he collided with a southbound Ford Escape, making a left turn, the Torrance Police Department said.

On October 12, at around 3:20 pm, the accident was reported near Lomita Boulevard.

Paramedics rushed to the accident scene to perform life-saving measures to the rider however he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the Ford driver, identified as a 56-year-old man was not injured in the accident.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to play the role in the accident.

Due to the accident, the Hawthorne Boulevard road between Lomita Boulevard and Skypark Drive was shut down by the police to examine the scene.

No more details about the accident were available.

The accident remains under investigation.
