Man Killed, Woman Injured in Oakland Car Crash Early Monday Morning

Oakland, California – An Oakland car accident that happened on early Monday morning on Interstate 880, claimed the life of one man.

The CHP stated that the man was operating a stolen Subaru Forester northbound on Interstate 880 when he collided with a parked flatbed tractor-trailer just south of 29th Avenue.

At around 1 am, the accident took place in the area that was closed off as the truck was providing materials to the workers.

The driver of the Subaru died at the scene.

One woman who was the passenger was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the Oakland CHP Office.
