James Stokes Critically Injured in Vermont Square Hit-And-Run Crash on West Vernon Avenue at South Harvard Boulevard
Los Angeles, California – The Vermont Square hit-and-run crash that seriously injured James Stokes on August 14, is been investigated by the authorities.
The Los Angeles Police Department stated that at around 7:40 pm, a speeding black Honda Civic hit James Stokes when he was walking across the West Vernon Avenue at South Harvard Boulevard.
Following the accident, the driver of the Honda Civic fled the scene eastbound on Vernon Avenue.
James was taken to the hospital for the treatment of his critical injuries.
On August 21, Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department has released the images of a woman who was believed to have been the passenger of the black Honda Civic that fled away after hitting James.
The photos were received by the police department from a witness who was presented during the accident. The witness tried to approach the occupants of the vehicle but the woman got out and opened a bottle of alcohol.
The woman then got back into the vehicle and the driver drove away.
The LAPD is investigating further into this matter by asking for the public’s assistance in finding the suspects.
