James Oxford and Thelma Oxford Injured in Lassen County Accident on Highway 395 near Thunder Mountain Road

James Oxford and Thelma Oxford Injured in Lassen County Crash on September 30; Larry Fergusen Arrested

Lassen County, California – Following a Lassen County accident that left three people injured on September 30, Larry W. Fergusen, 74, of Reno, Nevada was arrested, according to the CHP.

The CHP stated, that around 9:30 pm, Larry was driving a 2019 Subaru Crosstek in the wrong way on Highway 395 when he collided head-on with a 2020 Mazda CX-30 driven by James E. Oxford, 53, of Ocala, Florida.

The accident took place south of Thunder Mountain Road.

Following the accident, James and his passenger, Thelma Oxford, 55, of Ocala, Florida were both taken to the Banner Lassen Medical Center sustaining minor injuries.

Larry was also taken to the same Medical center with minor injuries, later was arrested for DUI.

The accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
