6 Hospitalized after North Highlands DUI Car Accident at Auburn Boulevard and Hemlock Street

North Highlands, California (February 16, 2020) – One adult and five juveniles were seriously injured Saturday evening in a head-on crash in North Highlands, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident happened in the area of Auburn Boulevard and Hemlock Street at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday, February 15.

According to the CHP, a Chevy Malibu was heading westbound on Auburn Boulevard when it collided head-on with an eastbound Nissan Sentra that was making a turn onto Hemlock Street.

The Malibu driver sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital. Five juvenile passengers in the Malibu were also hospitalized with major, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Nissan was arrested on suspicion DUI.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
