Everett Burgess Dies in La Mesa Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 125
La Mesa, California (January 15, 2020) – 31-year-old Everett Burgess of Lemon Grove has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in crash on Tuesday morning in La Mesa, police said.
The collision was reported at around 7:30 a.m. January 14, on State Route 125 near Spring Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Burgess was riding a 2013 Suzuki GW250 when it sideswiped a 2012 Dodge Challenger near Spring Street. The two-wheeler then rear-ended a 2014 Toyota Corolla.
Burgess was ejected from his motorcycle and thrown to the ground.
Burgess was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where he succumbed to his injuries.
No other details of the crash were immediately released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
