Durran Heaney Seriously Hurt in 14 Freeway Collision in Lancaster
Durran Heaney Injured in Lancaster Motorcycle Crash on 14 Freeway
Lancaster, California – A motorcycle accident that took place on the southbound 14 Freeway in Lancaster on Sunday night, Durran Heaney, 38, of Quartz Hill was seriously injured.
On September 13, at around 9:50 pm, a 2008 Honda was traveling at high speed southbound on the freeway when it rear-ended a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle, according to the CHP.
The accident took place north of Avenue F and both vehicles were sent off the roadway and overturned into the median.
Heany, the rider of the motorcycle sustained major injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Honda, Miguel Garcia, 32, of Lancaster was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital. He was later arrested for driving under influence of drugs and booked at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
