Rider Dies in Anderson Bicycle Crash With Police Vehicle on Sunday Night

Anderson, California – Following the Anderson bicycle accident that occurred on Highway 273 near Thomas Road on Sunday night, one person was killed according to the authorities.

On October 11, at around 9 pm, the accident took place that involved an Anderson police vehicle.

The bicyclist was hit by the police vehicle in the fast lane of the northbound Highway 273.

Due to the accident, the rider died at the scene.

Shortly after this incident, another officer responding to the accident was hit by a sedan.

The driver of the sedan sustained major injuries and was rushed to the hospital, whereas the involved officer was treated for moderate injuries.

The accident is under investigation by the CHP.
