Male Cyclist Seriously Injured in Signal Hill Bicycle Accident at Cherry Avenue and Skyline Drive
Signal Hill, California (June 17, 2020) – One person was critically injured in a Monday night bicycle accident in Signal Hill, according to police.
The crash occurred at around 11:55 p.m., on June 15, at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Skyline Drive.
A male cyclist was cycling westbound on Skyline Drive through the intersection at Cherry Avenue when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle that was heading southbound on Cherry Avenue, according to the authorities.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the male cyclist lying down on the roadway.
The cyclist was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
