Arnold Hardimon Dies in Highway 99 Collision near Grapevine

Arnold Hardimon Killed in Grapevine Big Rig Crash on Highway 99

Grapevine, California – Following the Grapevine big rig crash that occurred on Highway 99 on Saturday night, one 56-year-old person identified as Arnold Matthew Hardimon of Bakersfield was killed according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

On August 22, at around 11 pm, the CHP stated that a 2007 Mercedes CLK pulled over onto the right side of southbound Highway 99 then suddenly accelerated towards the left.

The Mercedes drifted into the path of a tractor-trailer that led to a collision on the south of Highway 166 near Highway 99.

Arnold who was driving Mercedes was declared dead at the crash scene.

While a 42-year-old woman was taken to Kern Medical for treatment of her injuries.

The factor of the crash is suspected to be alcohol and the driver was DUI according to the report.

After the accident, all the lanes of the southbound Highway 99 were closed for more than four hours.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the CHP.
