Alona Prescott Dies Days after Long Beach Pedestrian Crash on Anaheim Street

Long Beach, California – On August 7, a woman was hospitalized following a pedestrian crash. She died a week after the incident and has been identified as Alona Prescott, a 22-year-old resident of Long Beach.

At around 5:40 am in the morning, Alona was trying to cross the street outside a crosswalk near Los Angeles River when she was hit by a Honda Civic traveling westbound on Anaheim Street.

Alona was rushed to the hospital as she suffered from severe injuries, however, she died as on August 14.

The driver of the Honda Civic remained at the scene after the accident, but there was no factor of alcohol or drugs involved.

The Anaheim Street was closed by the detectives at Oregon Avenue as they carried out the investigation.

The incident still remains under investigation.
