Christopher Herrera Killed in La Verne Hit-And-Run Accident on 210 Freeway

La Verne, California – One person was killed in a La Verne hit-and-run accident that took place on Monday night. The deceased person is identified as Christopher Herrera, 40, of La Habra by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.

On September 14, at around 8:45 pm the accident was reported.

Investigators stated that Karen was driving a 2012 BMW 528i eastbound on Foothill (210) Freeway when she crashed into a tow truck driver near Fruit Street.

The truck driver, later identified as Herrera was assisting a disabled driver on the right shoulder.

Herrera died at the accident scene according to the authorities.

Following the accident, the California Highway Patrol has arrested Karen D. Floresarrelano, 24, on suspicion of DUI and booked into San Dimas Sheriff’s station.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
