CHP Investigating Fatal Huntington Beach Pedestrian Accident on 405 Freeway

Huntington Beach, California (May 1, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a fatal pedestrian accident that happened in the area of Huntington Beach at approximately 10:35 p.m. April 30.

A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway Thursday night.

All lanes of the freeway near Beach Boulevard were shut down up to about 8 a.m. following the wreck.

The fatal accident remains under an active investigation.
