Steven Armstrong Fatal Contra Costa County Pedestrian Accident on Highway 4 near Laurel Road
Antioch, California (May 11, 2020) – 29-year-old Steven Armstrong , of Pinole, has been identified as the victim who was struck and killed by a vehicle on westbound Highway 4, near Laurel Road in Antioch at approximately 9:20 p.m. May 8.
As per the California Highway Patrol report, Armstrong died at the scene after being struck by a westbound 2012 Nissan Versa while walking on the highway Friday night.
The Nissan driver, 23-year-old Bethel Island woman, was hospitalized at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with major, non life-threatening injuries.
There were no other victims hurt in the crash, including two people riding in the Nissan.
The accident remains under investigation.
