CHP Investigating Fatal Placerville Motorcycle Accident at Lotus Road and Springvale Road

Placerville, California (May 1, 2020) – One person died after a red Honda motorcycle and a Ford F-150 pickup truck collided at an intersection in Placerville Friday afternoon, May 1.

The California Highway Patrol did not immediately establish the circumstances that led to the fatal collision at the intersection of Lotus Road and Springvale Road at around 2:45 p.m.

The pickup truck acquired major front-end damage while the bike was torn into pieces upon the impact. Both the truck and the motorcycle were towed away from the scene of the accident.

Sadly, the rider died at the scene.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
