Reane Demery Arrested After Delano DUI Head-On Crash at Highway 155 and Zerker Road
As per the California Highway Patrol report, a Honda Civic driven by 26-year-old Reane Demery westbound on Highway 155 drifted into the eastbound lanes and crashed head-on with a Chevrolet Cruz Wednesday morning.
Officials said the Honda Civic engine propelled into a nearby almond orchard upon the impact.
The Chevy Cruz driver,a 44-year-old woman, died at Kern Medical Hospital in Bakersfield where she was admitted after the rash.
The second motorist sustained major injuries and was also rushed to Kern Medical Hospital for medication.
Demery was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The crash resulted in the closure of Highway as investigation and clean-up took place.
