Bakersfield 3-Vehicle Crash on State Route 223 near Fairfax Road Kills 1 Victim
Bakersfield, California (May 4, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a fatal multi-vehicle crash that took place on State Route 223 (Highway 223), near South Fairfax Road in Bakersfield just after 5:15 a.m. Monday.
One person died at the scene after a Lexus was hit on the driver’s side by a Mini Cooper that was traveling through the Bakersfield intersection.
The primary report indicated that the Lexus was moving at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at the intersection prior to the collision.
Due to the impact, the Mini Cooper was sideswiped by a third vehicle in the process.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
