Authorities ID’d Christopher Goldman as Victim Killed in Long Beach Car Accident at Atlantic Avenue and Rhea Street

26-Year-Old Christopher Goldman Killed in Long Beach Car Crash at Atlantic Avenue and Rhea Street

Long Beach, California (May 6, 2020) – Authorities have released the name of the Long Beach victim who died after a 2008 Lexus ES350 hit a 1999 Toyota Camry in Long Beach at around 10:00 a.m. May 5.

The Camry driver, 26-year-old Christopher Goldman, was making a left turn from eastbound Rhea Street to northbound Atlantic Avenue when his vehicle was struck by the southbound Lexus operated by a 42-year-old man.

Goldman, who was pinned in the wreckage, was pronounced dead at the crash site.

Officials did not believe the Lexus operator was intoxicated during the time of the collision.

The accident remains under an active investigation. Anyone with possible additional information about the crash is urged to contact the police at 562-570-7355 or 911.
