2 Killed in Motorcycle, Pedestrian Crash on 110 Freeway in Wilmington

27-Year-Old Woman and 67-Year-Old Man Killed in Wilmington Motorcycle Accident on 110 Freeway near Pacific Coast Highway

Wilmington, California (May 6, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian that Killed two people on Tuesday afternoon in Wilmington.

The deadly crash occurred on 110 Freeway, just south of Pacific Coast Highway at about 1:20 p.m., on May 5.

A 67-year-old San Pedro man was traveling on Pacific Coast Highway on his motorcycle when he collided with a woman who was walking westbound from the right shoulder of the northbound lanes of the highway, said the police.

The pedestrian, a 27-year-old woman, was between the far left lane and the second lane from the left of the highway when she was hit by the motorcycle.

Both the rider and the female pedestrian were pronounced dead as a result of the accident.

No further details about the crash were immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
