2 Drivers Hospitalized after Head-On Accident on Imperial Avenue in Lincoln Park

45-Year-Old Man and 19-Year-Old Girl Seriously Injured in Lincoln Park Car Accident on Imperial Avenue near 47th Street

Lincoln Park, California (May 13, 2020) – Two people were hospitalized after a head-on car crash on Monday night in Lincoln Park, police said.

At about 9:15 p.m., on May 12, the officials responded to the crash on Imperial Avenue in front of Lincoln High School, just east of 47th Street.

A 45-year-old man was traveling westbound on the eastbound side of Imperial Avenue in a 1993 Toyota Corolla when he swerved into the far-right eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 1999 Toyota Rav4 SUV driven by a 19-year-old girl, according to the police.

The Toyota Corolla’s right tires were on the raised center median when it veered, said the authorities.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital for treatment. The 19-year-old girl suffering from a fractured pelvis and forearm and the male driver sustained a concussion and a fractured forearm.

Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.

According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
