Fatal Anderson Pedestrian Accident on Highway 273 near Alexander Avenue
Anderson, California (March 24, 2020) – The Anderson Police is investigating the cause of a fatal pedestrian accident that happened on SR-273 near Alexander Avenue shortly before 3:00 a.m. March 23.
The circumstances that lead to the Monday morning collision in Anderson were not immediately disclosed at the time of the report.
The involved motorist, who was not injured in the wreck, stopped and cooperated with the law.
Officials did not mention whether or not the victim died at the crash site or in a hospital.
Meanwhile, one lane of Highway 273 was shut down up to about 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Detectives did not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the mishap. The accident remains under an active investigation.
