Ruben Tinajero Hospitalized after Fatal 2-Car Accident on Highway 175 in Hopland

Ruben Tinajero ID’d as 1 of 2 Seriously Injured in Hopland Car Crash on Highway 175 near Harrison Street

Hopland, California (June 17, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Monday morning car crash that killed one person and left two others seriously injured in Hopland.

At about 11:35 a.m., June 15, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly crash on Highway 175 near Harrison Street.

As per the CHP report, a 1999 Ford F-250 pickup, operated by Justin Jimenez, 20, from Willits, was driving eastbound on Highway 175 when it veered onto the right shoulder and went out of control.

Jimenez’s truck then crossed over into the westbound lane where it smashed into the driver’s side of an oncoming 2002 Honda Civic driven by Francisco J. Tinajero, 32, of Ukiah, the officials said.

The pickup truck reportedly rolled over and landed on its wheels, following the crash impact.

Francisco J. Tinajero succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His passenger, Ruben Tinajero 34, of Ukiah, sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Santa Rosa for treatment.

Jimenez was also flown to Santa Rosa with major injuries.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

An investigation into the accident is underway.

According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
