Livermore Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 580 near North Livermore Avenue

Livermore, California (June 5, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances that led to a fatal multi-vehicle accident on westbound Interstate Highway 580, just west of North Livermore Avenue in Livermore at about 3:52 p.m. Thursday.

One person died at the scene after three vehicles crashed on the highway in Alameda County Thursday afternoon.

Pending notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.

The wreck resulted in the closure of the left, and center lanes of the Interstate 580 as police and emergency crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
