Coroner ID’d 1 of 3 Victims Killed in Ontario Truck Crash on Interstate 10 near Haven Avenue as Rachel Miller

Rachel Miller Fatal Ontario Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 10, June 16

Ontario, California (June 17, 2020) – One of the victims who died after multiple vehicles collided at around 9:28 a.m. June 16, in Ontario, has been identified as 27-year-old Rachel Miller of San Dimas.

The mishap began when a 2011 Volvo tractor towing a semi-trailer traveling in the number 3 lane of Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Haven Avenue slammed into the back of a 2002 Chrysler Voyager van that was stopped for traffic ahead Tuesday morning.

Due to the impact, the Chrysler Voyager rear-ended a semi-trailer of a 2015 Volvo tractor that was stopping directly ahead of it.

The 2011 Volvo tractor operator sustained moderate injuries and was rushed to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for medication.

Sadly, Miller and two other occupants riding in the Voyager died in the accident.

The investigators are gathering more evidence to determine the cause of the accident.
